“Azerbaijan has opened a new page in the history of the region with the new realities it has created in the South Caucasus.
A completely new, more promising direction of development has already opened up for the countries of the region and neighboring countries. Of course, international cooperation is needed to take advantage of these opportunities. Azerbaijan has always been a supporter of constructive cooperation. This was confirmed by the views expressed at the international conference “A New Look at the South Caucasus: Post-Conflict Development and Cooperation” held on April 13 at ADA University. The statement came from MP, chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation Sattar Mohbaliyev. The MP noted that the people of Azerbaijan achieved their victory as a result of the economic and political power of our state, as well as the growth of its international prestige, especially in recent years: “The issue of Karabakh has always been on the agenda of the country. At all international events, the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, has always made the Nagorno-Karabakh issue a priority, and over the years, the President has always raised this issue in all his speeches from the most prestigious seats in the world. However, official Yerevan did not realize that Azerbaijan had changed and strengthened over the years. Therefore, now Armenia has become a defeated and poor country. Azerbaijan’s victory has opened a new stage in the development of both our country and the region. However, as our President said, the basis of development is stability. Stability is needed for development inside Azerbaijan, as well as abroad. Of course, Azerbaijan will take appropriate steps to minimize risks. Azerbaijan’s commitments in the Non-Aligned Movement and the new cooperation established in the region on this basis are a great success of our state. This includes Turkey-Iran, Georgia-Turkey, Russia-Iran trilateral cooperation, and the cooperation formats are an unprecedented contribution to regional stability. Sattar Mohbaliyev further stressed that Azerbaijan has so far shown a constructive position on all issues and is a supporter of international law. He won. Under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan fought a restrained war. Damage to the civilian infrastructure of the other side and losses among civilians were minimal. The President of Azerbaijan demonstrated a deep strategic vision by stopping the military phase of the war after our victory in Shusha. The goals emphasized during the war are, in fact, in line with the basic principles of the negotiations, the initial agreements, which were agreed upon in 2009. Also, one of the highlights of the Second Karabakh War is that Azerbaijan is a truly tolerant and multicultural country. Azerbaijan is the homeland of all peoples living here, and Azerbaijan is a multinational country. During the war, people of all ethnic groups fought to the last drop of blood against a single enemy. Azerbaijan has always been constructive and opposed the simulation of talks. Our country has always been interested in finding solutions to the conflict, because we have been a party to the conflict. But today we are already able to demand an account of what we have taken, and we are doing it. Azerbaijan demands that official Yerevan make statements on the Iskander-M missile, and we will receive this response. Unlike Armenia, Azerbaijan acted as a responsible country during the war. During the war, not a single civilian was harmed by our servicemen. The fact that less than 40 civilians were killed on the Armenian side is clear evidence of this. ” Sattar Mohbaliyev also noted that the views expressed by President Ilham Aliyev at the conference on the inadmissibility of distortion of historical truths should be taken as a message of strong warning to some revanchist circles in Armenia. . Today, all parties to the post-conflict talks must understand that our territories have been under occupation for 30 years. As Mr. President said, the history of the conflict must be remembered by the people without distortion. The younger generation in particular needs to know the historical realities as they are. The younger generation should know that Zangazur is a historical territory of Azerbaijan.
